I've posted some pictures on this thread and a few of the items in the pictures has Willacoochee's name printed on them.

This is a little different but its funny in Macon that Pio Nono (Pio Nona) is called "Pio No No" by outsiders and also of course everyone knows "Houston TX" and are pretty surprised to see that Houston County GA is pronounced "House-Ton" instead of "Hugh-ston"

If I recall correctly the Houston in Houston Mill Rd and most likely Houston County was named after a British(?) General not Sam Houston therefore the pronounciation is "House-ton".

Have you ever heard of "Box Springs", Georgia? It's not far from Buena Vista, Ellaville and Lumpkin... or "Dickey" Georgia... my personal favorite is "Ideal", Georgia.

I'm from Kennesaw, Ga but up at U of Michigan for school. People get a real hoot when they ask where I'm from and I say, Kennesaw. Granted, people do say the accent helps a little :-P
Other words that have gotten chuckles:
Chatahoochee
Okefenokee
Santa Clause
Bethlehem
Hephzibah

Don't forget Ducktown, which I'm pretty sure is in Cherokee county, otherwise it's in Forsyth. They even have a Duck painted on the only car repair place in town. Another due to it's pronunciation is Hoschton. It's impossible to say...I've been told to say it like hooch-ton, hoosh-ton, huch-ton, hotch-ton to name a few.
