Forsyth county used to not let anyone of color live within the county lines....
And that wasn't THAT many years ago...

Well since this thread has been revived, will add one from my home county of Meriwether. Was there this summer and went with my mom down to one of the peach packing houses near Woodbury. Asked the guy helping us if he was from there, he replied, "yeah, I'm from Booger Bottom."

Have lived there all my life and never heard of Booger Bottom. Apparently a rural community (not on any maps I've seen tho) somewhere between Woodbury and Warm Springs.

Woodbury is prominently featured in season 3 of Walking Dead, though Senoia was used as the location for filming Woodbury scenes. But back to the topic. There is a mountain in North Georgia called "Dick's Knob" and a small town in South Georgia named "WillaCOOCHEE". Then if you get sick you can always go to Doctortown

I always did wonder , how do you actually pronounce Hephzibah anyways, since you brought it up? I do know that town, along with Wrens, seems to be dominated by poor blacks- is that true?

I doubt that. There surely are not many rednecks around there. It is the opposite of that.

I thought it funny that not too far from Climax is the town of Recovery.
Climax actually has an annual festival called SwineTime to celebrate the pig/hog/sow.

Two Egg is in Panhandle near Marianna. As for 'Bologna', I believe you may be referring to the small town at the FL-GA line on U.S. rt 1 called Boulogne??? I believe that is French and pronounced Boo-lon.

Has anyone here mentioned the SoWeGa town of Pavo? Pavo is NE of Thomasville on the Brooks-Thomas County Line. The word Pavo is Latin for Peacock!
