Thanks! Read up about it on Wikipedia, named after a German immigrant that established a clay roofing tile company there.

Isn't there an Experiment, GA? I think some of The Walking Dead was filmed there...

Just outside Griffin, might be swallowed up by Griffin now. Was a separate incorporated community at one time. Named for the University of Georgia Agricultural Experiment Station, now the University of Georgia at Griffin. My father worked there in the 60s.

I think some of the old buildings of the Dundee Textile Mills (once the lifeblood of Griffin) are still standing in that area. Would be a good abandoned backdrop for that series.

Driving to Statesboro would always pass a small area named Hopeulikit. I always thought it was pronounced like "Hope You Lick it" which I always thought was strange and slightly perverted

I do trust you have learned (and for the sake of others browsing here), the correct pronunciation is "hope you LIKE it."
