Default NJ to Atlanta

Family of 5 considering move to Atlanta area. Interested in a city not to far from Alpharetta. Good schools a must. Was hoping to buy house in $300,000 area. Is this do-able?

Very do-able. We moved down last year from Middlesex County, and we live in Cherokee County (Holly Springs). The schools are awesome, the housing is incredibly affordable compared to NJ, and the taxes are a quarter (or less) of what we'd pay on a similar house in NJ. The commute to Alpharetta is managable by NJ standards, but would vary depending on the time of the commute, and exactly where in Alpharetta you're trying to get to.
