Look at beautiful Madison, Georgia for older homes. The city of Newnan also has some lovely old houses.

Check out preservationdirectory.com and search under "historic real estate" then "southeast".

You might try Demorest in Habersham County (about an hour north of Atlanta). They have quite a few historic homes there at reasonable prices.

What area of GA are you considering and what is your price range. The old historic homes are getting expensive.

Any house that is over 100 years old is bound to have some ghosts and wood destroying bugs like beetles and termites. I can deal with the ghosts, but the little devils that eat wood would drive me crazy.
