I volunteered as a "neutral" Mod.....to see and read, what this hype is all about.

First off, to clarify for ALL....just because we are "MODS" does NOT mean we are not allowed to function and act as "normal" and "regular" members of this forum.
We are humans, citizens and do have personal views and opinions on different topics.
So what ?
He didn't "attack", he wasn't "vicious"....if anything, I found some dry humor in several posts, and I do read "between the lines".
It is, what it is....politics......and that alone can't and shouldn't be taken personal by any means !
That topic alone (politics) and political views are NEVER "fun" and "games", and there will ALWAYS be one person, with different views and different opinions.
Just because we are MODS doesn't mean, we have to stop functioning as humans, and/ or regular members of this forum, and/or are forbidden to voice our opinion and personal views.
As long as we (MODS) mind CD's ToS (Terms of Service), rules and guidelines, reminding and enforcing them (which, we are very well aware of and follow).....I was not able to find ANY violation against ANYBODY in "atlantagregs" posts what-so-ever !!!

I usually refrain from posting about "political" views or opinions, and think ALL politicians are so corrupt and fake, offering the usual "blah-blah-blahs" for everyone, but not following trough with ANY.
I always find, that the politicians are always sitting pretty (especially financially), while they just play their "strategic games" with the regular working folk.
But, that's just my personal view and personal opinion, folks.
Did I offend anyone ?

Just felt the need to step in and clear up some confusion on the subject "personal views and opinions", "political views on McCain's speech", the topic and concern "MODERATOR" and what they should/ shouldn't, allowed and are not allowed to do.
Just keep in mind, that they are FIRST and FORMOST all active members of City- Data. So, if anything, I find that certain members (holding the title of a "MODERATOR" against someone) is, in fact, BIAS and discriminatory !
Just food for though on this one.

So....back to the original topic, offering your opinions and views....all while minding the CD ToS (Terms of Service), rules and guidelines.

It is so amusing to me that her critics keep harping on this, like to have a speechwriter involved in this process is so unusual. I promise you that every other candidate that gave a speech over the last two weeks had the benefit of a speechwriter's assistance. I also promise you that Sarah Palin very much had a hand in that speech's creation.
Something that no one is talking about re: Sarah's speech that I found interesting...because of the prolonged applause, the crawl on the prompter went so far off track that it was no longer of use to her at about halfway through the speech. At that point, she had to rely on memory and her own wits. Pretty impressive...one journalist said that there was only one other politician in memory that he saw pull that off...Bill Clinton.

EDGENAPLES2002 is on a distinguished road
Default Easy choice to make now

I have never been a McCain fan. He reaches across the aisle to take up liberal causes, and never gets the libs to reach back our way. My opinion is that Republicans are re-energized because Palin is a true conservative. Hopefully McCain will take notice....hopefully she will not be silenced if she is the VP. No matter what, they are lightyears away from their Socialist, class warfare loving, competitor, Obama....better known as B.O.

He could do real damage to our country, especialy if he gets to place 2 oe 3 supreme court justices. America needs to get back to small government, lower taxes, maintaining our strong defense, stop all of these ridiculous bailouts, stop illegal immigration by closing our border and cutting illegals off of American jobs and all of the other government handouts our representatives give them. We need to get back to family values, crack down on crime, and keep America #1 !
McCain is far from perfect, but he is WAYYYYY better than B.O. !

Harping on what? I only mentioned the issues - which Palin showed a lack of knowledge of during the Charlie Gibson interview. She has very little knowledgeof foreign affairs and international politics. She was very confused during questioning - trying to remember what they told her to say. I do not deem these comments as criticizing her. Just facts. That said, she's able- at times - to rise above her faults because she has good communication skills. Saying that, she better learn not to seem so defensive during interviews. If she was a black woman (during the Gibson interview), the media would have said she has a major attitude. Very sassy.
