My friend told me in these word "Atlanta is the tale of two cities", talking about that. It's not as bad as you may see. I go there a lot, and I'm originally from NYC. It's not that bad. Venture out in the city a bit more, go to different spots and see how it goes for you. You can't expect anywhere else to be NYC. Dont compare the two. Big no, no..Just my 2 cents. Aside from NYC, which does not seem to be segregated to the naked eye,
(since we dont have much space, we're all clustered together, it may seem we're that close to one another, and cool with each other when we're really not half the time), nowhere will is like NYC in many aspect.

...Just look for like minded people, create your network and you should be ok.
