Default Commute Time from Peachtree City to Atlanta

Hello All,
I'm currently living in the East Bay of Nor Cal and am trying to talk my husband into moving. I like what I've seen about Peachtree City, GA. Could anyone give me an est. commute time to Atlanta. My husband currently commutes 35min to 1hr. each way, dep. upon weather/traffic/time of day.
Thank you

I grew up in PTC. My parents worked downtown and I'd say the commute averaged about 40 mins. The worst of the traffic is actually on Route 74 trying to get to the interstate and just past the Lakewood Freeway near the city. If you plan on working past downtown things become a bit more grim unless you can commute straight up 285 to the Cumberland area which may not be THAT bad. All in all I'd say expect to have about an equal commute in PTC as you currently have.

Peachtree City is a wonderful town. I moved from SoCal and really love it here. From PTC to the airport (on the south side of Atlanta) takes roughly 20-30 min. Into the city it is a bit longer; without traffic I'd plan on driving 40 min. The south side of Atlanta has less traffic than the rest of the city. Commute times on I85 Southbound aren't bad at all. Good Luck on your move! PTC has a lot to offer! : )
