My husband worked in a place for water purification. Also, diversity would be nice! We are an interracial couple. Any recommendations?

Berry College in Rome, GA is located in a scenic area of north GA with mountain views. There should be some homes in your price range but I know nothing of employment opportunities in your DH's field in this area. This is north GA and there is less diversity in this part of the state.

Quite possibly Kennesaw State College would be a better choice, just north of Marietta. I think you can see a few mountains in this area and it is diverse. Cobb County might have a position for which your husband is qualified. The scenery would be less spectacular but there would be more 'To Do' in this area.

A bit further northwest you might like Holly Springs or Canton. I am not certain about colleges in this area but the mountains are very scenic.

It looks like Reinhardt College in Waleska, GA would be an option>>>

After a recent trip to Canton I believe the locals are not very 'openminded' and that it might be difficult to ever feel accepted in this area. There are parts of Georgia that will always be that way.
I couldn't find an item in the Walmart and tried to ask several people but didn't receive much assistance. I stood in line while a cashier had a lengthy chat with a customer who seemed to be a fellow coworker. I put my things down and walked off to find what I needed. When I returned the cashier chastised me for walking away and another customer joined her. I do not care to live among such people.
