I'd look at Dade County in NW Georgia. It's about 97%...uh, nevermind.

Good luck on your move.

I am also a real estate agent, but I work with people who love nature, trees and friendly people! If they want malls, Blairsville is not for them!

Anyway, do you know why your agent is recommending the counties that you mentioned above? For my taste, those counties are not far enough away from Atlanta. That's just me talking, but I wanted to be far enough away that my new home would not become swallowed up by Atlanta in a few years.

I wish you the best, and let me know if I can help you in any way.

How did your
I have to be honest most North Georgia folks that are actually locals or blend amongst the locals really dont like Real Estate agents moving and selling in the North Georgia Mtns. There refered to by some as carpet baggers if you will. If you lived here long enough its truly sad to see whats happening to the mountains that used to be here. There leveling and building homes higher and higher on the ridges and the majority of people that want there homes on the ridges are floridians. But youre right people up here will accept floridians that dont want to change things and brag how great everything was in Florida and how great their sport teams are and how they used to do it back home. The thing is most Floridians that move here find that this will never be home to them and many move back.

Default Bethlehem Georgia

If your are looking for that a town with small town charm and only a caution light you should check out Bethlehem Georgia. It is beautiful and and very inviting. We have lived here nine years and just love it. The schools are great and the area is beautiful with the Appalachee River. We are soon getting a Target store. Anyway I know alot of you Floridians are looking for beautiful areas in North Georgia and I thought I would help you out.

Hopefully Blue Ridge will just become a distant Atlanta suburb in the next few years with mountains and progressive thinking - a little small town Asheville would be great.. Once we all get on plug in hybrid vehicles to deal with the fuel cost thing. Dawsonville and Dahlonega and Jasper (once backward thinking communities just like Blue Ridge..) are all entering into the mainstream world just fine, and are getting better and better each year, with many more options for people shopping, dining and entertainment-wise. Blue Ridge and Fannin are just the next domino to fall - despite all the naysayers and "locals" hoping for more years of isolation. Guess there's always West Virginia or Kentucky. Keep sending people Florida and Atlanta! The gene pool needs you
