Moving from Florida
I have been looking at Acworth Ga.
Is that a good place to live? Does it have a good job market?
Any other northern Georgia cities that are nice as far as housing and job market?

Job market - not so hot. There are not many jobs in Acworth unless you want to be in a grocery store or in retail. Most people commute to Marietta or Atlanta...or wherever. But, Acworth is fairly decent. There are great areas (within Brookstone G/C Club) and then there are not so great areas...just depends on where you "land". What's your price range? Do you have kids (school aged)? Personally, I lived in 30152 (Kennesaw) and thought it was nice, it borders Acworth.

My manager lives up near Acworth, and he loves it up there, but since he works down in the Cumberland Mall area he ends up telecommuting 3-4 days/week.
Don't know about jobs in that area. What sort of job would you be looking for?

I have been in a sign company for 12 years. Doing design, engraving etc. We are looking for a place to rent until we find out for sure where we need to be. My husband is retired, but I have another good 10 years to work.
We used to live in Chattanooga, maybe we should go back to that area.
Thanks for the information. All I have to go by is the demographics on the web. Doesn't show you the "personality" of the town. I used to live in a real nice town. Nice schools, quaint, but the people were so snobby!!! So I appreciate all your input.
Thanks!!
So, What do you think of the Chattanooga area as far as jobs and cost of living?
