I would not move to Americas, its just too small with not much to offer. I live 20 miles away in Cordele, and would much rather live here.

Thanks for the advice. Another member mentioned that Thomson, Georgia would be a great place to live. Do you know anything about that area?

Americus is a prettier town than Cordele - IMO. Since you are already in Georgia, why don't you visit them all?

Ellie, I believe you're right.... I need to tour Georgia! Georgiadog mentioned a place called Thomson, Georgia. He thought that was a place that I'd like! I did a little research...the cost of living was reasonable. I like what I read...what do you think?

Thomson's not bad, it's pretty close to Augusta and not terribly far from Atlanta. I've driven through there maybe 30 times and like the older sections. The piedmont of Georgia is lovely. While you are on the road, also check out Washington and Waynesboro.

Thanks for the advice! I think that I will. The girls will really enjoy the field trip!

I hate to ask but how to you plan to make a living (if that is a factor)? That could easily limit where you can move.

I don't have an endless supply of money, but I have saved quite a bit. Job isn't an issue. I am very skilled.
