Default Omega, Ga

Our friends just called and said they were buying some land and a mobile home in Omega.
Can someone tell me if this is a nice area?

Well, it is pretty flat and very rural SW Georgia (similar to the pan handle area of Florida). I think it is OK overall. I believe the closest smaller town is Tifton and Moultrie is somewhat near by for shopping.

Omega is half way between Tifton and Moultrie on hwy 319. I go through there all the time heading to Tallahassee. It's very small 1 traffic light. From what I can tell from just passing through is it has a large Hispanic population.

Thanks for the responses. I think our friends bought on a "whim" without doing much to search the area. I hope they will like it but I have a feeling they may regret it. They currently live in Central Florida and have lived there all their life.
