sobeit19 is on a distinguished road
I have lived in many large cities in my life time, LA, Tampa, Miami, NYC. I just purchased a home in Lake Wildwood. Other than criminal managment of HOA funds, and absentee owners renting to whoever can hand them the cash, I am pleased with my purchase. Owners of rental units in Lake Wildwood are to blame for much of the neglect and garbage we see in the area.

Changes in managment are occuring so hopefully these issues of neglect will be corrected. I don't think Macon is any worse than any other city of it's size. You can't run from what our world is. You can however deal with it and be aware of your surroundings so you don't become a statistic. I researched the area, spent time looking at Macon, talking to those that live there and still chose to buy there. The positives outweigh the negative.
