Just wondering what cities you'd consider that would have more of a mountain landscape to it on the northwestern end of GA? Schools arent an issue, i dont have kids, single. Something with a decent economy possibly to open up a business down the road dealing with off road/atv stuff would certainly be a plus. Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.

The challenge is that once you get out of the Atlanta metro, most of the NW Georgia towns aren't big enough to support a decent-sized business. The off-road/ATV market, while it sounds good, would be even harder since there's only one legal trail area I can think of. To top it off, most folks in that market will go mail-order now to save $$ (I worked for Dick Cepek in the mid-90's, so I saw the demise of that market).

Ah i see! Well if we omitted that, i do have another business that could revolve around the atlanta area, so being within an hour or so of it would be great. Any help would be appreciated on the cities. I just dont think i could do the city situation, i like to be at a distance and if i had a preference , i'd like to be in a nice wooded area. I noticed a lot of the houses down there are in a secluded wooded property, i really like that. any help, thanks again!

Default Dahlonega

Check out Dahlonega. My wife and I moved up here from Florida and we would never leave. We are in our mid 30's. It is the perfect little town. Its where the first gold rush in America started in 1829, and it has so much history and breath taking scenery. Far enough away from Atlanta, we can get there in a little over an hour, but there are other cities between here and there that are growing, such as Cumming and Dawnsonville, many new shopping centers. Hope this helps

If you want to be within an hour of Atlanta proper, you can't go very far- try Cherokee or Bartow Counties- you may find them to be "wooded" enough for what you're looking for.
