And the question is (and one you always avoid and never answer) is, WHAT IS KEEPING YOU HERE? Why not move???? For such such a miserable person, why torture yourself and stay in a place that you despise so much?

As I said before my business is doing fine and I TAKE CARE of my employees here locally and have literally zero turnover.
The issue here is the terrible conditions in the Columbus area that have been dormant for many years with no relief in sight(and long before the recent economic downturn).
You obviously enjoy wallowing in it waiting for someone to come to the rescue while other local citizens would like improvement where it counts(wages, lower taxes, lower crime etc) and not more STORES and RESTAURANTS that pay low wages or are all part time or another bar downtown.
Get with the program...you need to network more as you are obviously out of touch with local issues.

Off to work now. In Columbus for some meetings then off to Philly. You will understand one day, just not quite there yet. You know nothing about economics and business. You own no business. You sit at home and lurk on this website. Have a conference call here in 5 mins....have a great day!

Well there is your answer folks.
Seriously I wish you the best with your job search and future.
Let me know what your skills are and maybe I can get you hired locally as I will be back in town by Sunday.
Good luck..

No problem at all..
My complaints are about Columbus issues and not about you so don't take it personally.
Just wanted to lend a hand if you are not working.

I will say this in all respect to both Courier23 and ATLCOL1.
Your little squabble is getting old for all of us. Please take your discussion elsewhere and let the nice lady who wants some info on small town Georgia life hear from others. Other people will come on this thread and see that it has been hijacked by the two of you and your one uppers and decide it is a dead post. Neither of you have moved an inch and the OP is losing out as a result.
I appreciate things both of you have posted in other threads, but this childish back and forth needs to stop or at least go elsewhere.

If you look at previous posts by the nice lady... she has made the same post for other areas as well and obviously has decided on Cartersville.
I have actually recieved numerous postive PM's from many forum members who applaud my efforts to root out the problems Columbus has had over the years..
Nobody is making you(or all of us as you say)read any of these posts...

Hi, My son and I are wanting to move from Lexington, KY to eastern TN. You said that Knoxville and Chattanooga were excellent. They both have fun things to do except according to statistics, like on Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitors sites is not allowed, the crime is high in both these cities plus the air quality is very low (not good). Knoxville is a 7, 7 on violent/property crime whereas I was very disappointed to find that Chattanooga is 7 property and 8 violent crime. That sounds so terrible. Why is the crime so high? Therefore I was thinking along the lines of Johnson City instead even though there's not as much to do there. Anybody have any good reviews on Johnson City, TN? thanks

Thanks Saintmarks, funny how I was getting some great information from the both of them until they decided to make it a war over control...and who is right..lol. But, I still did get some entertainment from it, reminds me of highschool. See, I posted a thread on TN and am still considering that as an option but what I can say is this just sucks, I'm in California, never been outside of the west coast and want to move to the midwest/south/south east and evertime I think I'm getting close in narrowing down the state, I find something I don't like about it. We are considering AR,GA,TN and KY.
