Real Estate Agent or Loan Officer "Please Help" (how much, house)

I was schedule for a Closing of a house & on the same day of the closing I recieved a call from the agent that the closing was cancel because my file went to "Quailty Control" the day before my closing. I was told that they need verify everything in the file & after 48 hours it would be "Clear to Go" so we could schedule a closing, that it it ramdomly selected by the bank 1 day before closing because of the way econmoy is the banks are really strict now. It has passed more then 48 hours & I still don't have any information. What does "Quality Control" exactly mean? How much of this is true?

Please Help I don't know what to do!

Do you know if it takes 48 hours like they say. My agent is out of town (she had emergency) so I'm not sure if they are giving me the run around. do you know what the procedure are?
