Smile North georgia mountains

Hi,
My family and I are thinking about buying a piece of land or small vacation home in the north georgia area. Blairsville, Elijay etc. We are concerned about any potential unfriendliness that we may encounter. I am black, my husband is hispanic and our children are biracial. We live in an area where that is almost the norm and we don't have to really think about it. We are looking for somewhere to vacation 1 or 2 times a year and would like to be treated like everyone else and get along well with the people there. Are the North Georgia mountains such a place? We visited there and asheville, blueridge areas and fell in love. Please help, any info would be appreciated.
