Wink Where is the charm?

Hi I'm moving to the Cumming area this summer. Have a job in the northern part of cCumming. Looking for a cute bungalow or cottage. Everything is either a new devlopment/condo. or a (sorry ya'll) dump for 100,000.00 Is there another town nearby where I should look?

Good luck. You are moving to one of the fastest growing areas in the nation, which means generic tract homes galore. That's the whole northside of Atlanta, unfortunately. All the way to Dawsonville now.

You may be able to find what you are looking for over north or east of Gainesville, or farther away. Just get clear of GA 400 and your choices for that type of traditional Georgia housing will go up. Stay within easy driving distance of GA 400 and you will most definitely NOT be finding it.

Have you tried the little town of Lumpkin, Georgia? It's north of Cumming (just west of 400), or maybe the older sections of Buford and Sugar Hill.
