How to get Geogia ID with no proof of address
Hello All....My friend moved here 6 months ago from another state. He's trying to get a GA id but has no proof of address. all he has is his original birth certificate and knows his SSN (cause he lost the card) he hasn't had a job cause he has no id. No bank account. Nothing that says his name. He lives with me. We don't know what to do. I called the DMV and they said get a noterized leasing agreement which i have, and some kind of document from the state he was from. I don't know what document their talking about. Everytime i call back the line is always busy. I don't want to go wait in line at the DMV for 2 hours just for a question. can anyone help??????

Their website says that the rental contract and his birth certificate should be all that he needs.
Is he surrendering a license from out of state?

Your friend will need a SS card in the future. He should really get it replaced. Your friend has no proof that he lived in his previous state!?! No bills, never had a bank account, license, school ID; nothing!?! How is his name even on a lease now with none of that info? Can he get one of the utility bills put in his name?

why are you waiting in line 2 hours to ask a question?
your jobless friend should have plenty of time on his hands; send him down there to ask his own questions.
