Does that also mean that I may not be able to find a job (guidance counselor)...

Honestly, I don't think you need to worry too much. Paulding County is close enough to Atlanta, and there are enough subdivisions going in, that the population is going to be pretty diverse.

Cheers,
Diana

A subdivision is a planned group of houses usually built by one particular builder. The subdivision might have an address in Douglasville (for example), but it will have it's own name, like "Alexander Farms" or "Windward Glen," or something like that. These subdivisions can have teeny tiny lots for each house, so you have a teeny tiny yard, or they can be on several acres for each house, depending on how much you want to spend. Often they will have home owners associations, which are a thorn in a lot of people's sides, but which regulate things like what color you can paint the house, how often you have to mow the lawn, etc., and they will collect annual dues to pay for pool maintenance (if they have a pool). You'll find a lot of different people in subdivisions.

Your best bet, however, is just to make a trip to the area you are considering, and have a good look around. Do a lot of research. You're making a big decision anyway, so it pays to get all the facts straight.

Cheers,
Diana

What the heck is a Redneck? What's so bad about being one? I've heard the term, but never understood the description. Please explain.
