Stop whining about Columbus being left out of this and stay on the subject at hand!

Nobody in there right mind is going to do that in Columbus. Columbus is self sustaining and does not need to cater to Atlantas bigwigs to gain favoritisim. All this will do is send money down the drain in an already tough economy.

Not to burst anyone's hopes for this, but the feds have been telling Upstate NY that we were getting the high speed rail here for over 15 years. At the rate they're going, we'll all be in little Jetson's crafts before this dream ever happens.

And over 15 years later, where are we on the project? Mind you I'm a little over 2 hours from Manhattan. We are still "studying" the plan and what to do. There has not been any land purchased or earmarked for the rail. There's TONS of homes and businesses now in the way that weren't there a few years ago. At this rate, we'll be living on the moon before the high speed train comes through.

And I am all for the high speed train actually happening on the East Coast. I've wanted to take Amtrak to my family in Winston-Salem. It would only take 2 days to get there and 3 days to get home. It's only 700 miles to my family so why does it take so bloody long? RIDICULOUS!
