moving to Atlanta area, need advice on school and commute
Hi,
Our family will be relocating to Atlanta within the next few months due to my husband's job. He will be working in the Buckhead area, and we are currently researching places to live. We're very interested in the Alpharetta area, but we have a few concerns. Right now our 7 year old son with high-functioning autism is in a mainstreamed 2nd grade class in a wonderful public elementary school. He makes so much progress around typically-developing children. We would love to continue that (at least through elementary). Does anyone know of a wonderful public elementary school in the Alpharetta area that has a good reputation with special education students? I've heard that Also, I have heard that the commute from Alpharetta to Buckhead is horrible. Is this true?? Can anyone give me an estimate on the commute?? I was under the impression that traffic was going to be pretty bad from any northern city. Would it be better to look at another area in regards to schools and traffic (such as Marietta)?
