If it's somewhere out of the way, yes. There are a few sizable wind farms up in the southwestern part of Minnesota, and they contribute quite a bit to that state's power grid.

i don't know much about wind farms, but if I were going to build one I would do it in a state known for having high winds. Not that it can't be done in Georgia, but I would think the better choice to be in the Great plains states. Renewable Energy Center

A wind farm is always an excellent idea, ( but, I hear that people who have to live under them are not so pleased). As long as its up on a mountain or hill top and getting plenty of sustained wind, then it will do well.

If I had the ground, and had the sustained wind, I would opt for windmills myself. But, being a valley dweller, we dont get such wind, and only on occasion, so its not worth it to have it around my neck of the woods.

Unfortunately, solar is still too expensive and wind power is too, unless you have a lot of bucks to invest, or can get reimbursed from the Government.

no. ugly, expensive, do not produce enough power to make them worthy.

GA power is about to begin the construction of a new nuke plant, for which we all love it. If i am going to be paying higher costs, it might as well be for something that will actually produce power, not make some treehugger happy for a day!
