^And as I mentioned in the other thread, way to go!
It's not easy to admit it when you are wrong, but thank you for doing so.
In the future, you might try to be a little more humble when multiple people call you out on something that is outside your area of expertise - it can go a LONG way in making things right.

You do realize it is absolutely no business of the State of Georgia to try to impose tax penalties on companies that choose to locate in the Atlanta area? What you are proposing would cause most outside investment in the State to come to a complete halt.
You can not dictate to private businesses where and how they locate.
The State of Georgia also does NOT favor Atlanta, especially the bunch that we have running the show now. From talk of taking over the Atlanta Airport, to refusing to fund MARTA and Grady - if anything, this current Administration is perhaps the most HOSTILE to the Atlanta region that I can recall.
On top of that, the main marketer for Georgia is not the State, it is Georgia Power. They have perhaps one of the best high-tech relocation centers in the country, and they certainly do not favor one location over another. They make money no matter where new industry ends up.

So true.Atlanta has no power in state government.

Most of the money is not invested in metro Atlanta.. as I said they get less back from teh state in projects then they pay in.. over half the state's population lives in metro Atlanta. Things like MARTA were solely paid for by local tax dollars (loacal sales tax) with some Federal assistance. Other big projects like Turner field and The Aquarium were privately funded.
