The medical district in Augusta is not a facility. Its 50 or more medical buildings in one urban area. I doubt we can trust the numbers you provided without a link. I also like how you left out Eisenhower hospital in Augusta. And the only medical college in the state. The Medical College of GA in Augusta.

Savannah Mall is almost gone. It has been featured on Deadmalls.com
The New Jersey Teachers Union dumped it
SCAD uses it as how NOT to locate a retail entity: the Islanders have to drive by Oglethorpe to get to it; here is little residential surrounding it, and the west side residents have to navigate Abercorn Extension to get to it.
Wal-Mart moved closer to I-95, Kroger is the only Supermarket left in the area
If it were not for Target and Bass pro there would be no tenants left.
As the exits along I-95 and I-16 develop commercially Savannah Mall will wither.
Bass Pro and Target are looking for locations on the interstates
Oglethorpe Mall is rather Small and holding steady and is better situated and is almost fully occupied.

I love your enthusiasm though. It makes the forum interesting.

What in the World are you talking about, this Forum is about GEORGIA 2ND TIER CITIES NOT GREENVILLE,SC, who care what Greenville is doing or has.....When Greenville Expand its city limits pass 26.1 sq mi and gain a pop over 56,006 people then you can talk to me about pop. other wise save it. Oh yeah to address your question- "Macon actually lost people by thousands from 2000 til 2007. So how do you catch up if people are leaving.?" Macon has been experiencing large area of sprawls going outside of the city limits, and a lot of people are spreading out to the new developed area....meaning pop has decrease within the city limits but there not leaving the county, which has seem lots of growth due to this affect. So technically it still Macon, just not with in the city limits.
Take a look for your self

http://www.dot.state.ga.us/maps/Docu...Houston_FC.pdf
I have provided a map above that has tracked Macon urbanized sprawls.. Macon city limits is shown in Green and the sprawls are in the gray......and the white and gray areas is unincorporated Bibb county showing how Macon has sprawled. The same with the Map of Warner Robins, Its city limits is in the green and sprawls are in the peachy-orange color. Also you can see how Macon and Warner Robins are meeting at the county lines. Macon also is sprawling into Monroe and Jones counties.... as well.
How can you say Macon isn't growing get real
