You'd think by now people would just let it drop.
You said it best.

Yeah, because if the federal government had banned... oh, I don't know... underage drinking in all the states, the South would have seceded as well... folks can keep revising history all they want. The bottom line is but for the South's desire to keep Blacks enslaved, there would not have been a Civil War.

You guys are comical and bye the way I have a lot of Northern friends who said they wouldve fought for the south because they believe in preserving the rights that were set out for the people. A little something called the 10th Ammendment. There was plenty of slavery up north its just it was no longer profitable.

Rebellion was allowed, according to framers of the U.S. Constitution, and such was noted of the time, for it was stated that if the federal government oversteps its bounds, it is the duty of the states to secede, if the federal government oversteps their constitutional grounds. Such was what the federal government was doing by blockading ports, initiating unfair taxation, etc.

Racism, in whose mind? As I've stated, race or slavery played little to do with the creation of the Civil War. Lincoln never mentioned it, and documents detail that many were taken back and confused when Lincoln first made it an issue, even northerners.

Defeat? Someone loses a battle, don't they? Considering that Confederate troops were outmanned over two to one, they did very well for their size.

You are very ignorant of history. You're the one who has drunk the revisionist history, not those who point out that it was about states' rights, as pointed out in the constitution.

What did he say to make it the best, what....to compare an American History Month with that of Germany or Russia! If the Germans want to celebrate a NAZI HISTORY MONTH or the Russians want to celebrate COMMUNIST HISTORY MONTH that would be a decision to be made in Germany or Russia not here, this is America!

As for the Russians, and Communist History Month, well if the Nazis had indeed won the second World War there would be no need for anything honoring the communists!

Again, comparing Confederate History Month to that of a communist or Nazi history month is nonsense. As for me mentioning good and evil about the Nazis, the good being no communists or homosexuals but the jewish situation, Hitler could have surely decided something far different than extermination, perhaps he should have thought about sending them to Palestine.
You are a racist. You prove my point. Thanks for showing the world EXACTLY what I was describing. It's all about heritage and history, right? Puhh-leeese.
