Winder is located about 20 minutes from Athens, GA and about 35 minutes from Atlanta. There is alot of construction in that area and many homes to choose from. Many resident work in Winder, but alot also commute to Atlanta.

I'll be happy to try to answer any specific questions you have!

Winder,GA never heard of it but then again I am not from GA. but am looking forward to moving there. My concerns are employment opportunities, good schools, and affordable housing, with little crime, if that is possible anywhere.

Default a little info I know.

I don't know too much about Winder, GA. Here is a little I know. I only drive that area one time.

It is in barrow county. Kind of still small town there. But maybe soon take over by Atlanta spawling when and if Dacula, GA (Gwinnett county) becomes expensive enough. School system, depend on what your standard, is ok. House is still very affordable there. But it is growing pretty fast as well. You can check school stat.

You can check Gwinnett daily post for some articles on Barrow County as well.

There is 55+ community as well. Three boys accidentally set fire on a couple of houses in adult 55+ community. But eventually, elders and kids' parents settle the case. That was big news a couple of weeks ago.

Default Sorry, some bad news

All those developing areas are having some growing pain.
