Default Would like to hear thoughts/opinions as to Perry GA

There is a job that has opened in Perry that I am thinking of applying for.

However, I don't want to do so if Perry turns out to be a place where I would not be interested in living. From the web search I did, it looked like a very nice place, however long distance research can only tell you so much.

I would be interested in hearing impressions and thoughts of those with first hand experience concerning Perry. What is the cultural/intellectual/entertainment scene like in Perry. Is it a vibrant community with things to do or do you have to travel to have fun?

Let me hear your thoughts.

suggest u search this forum regarding Perry. i do not recall reading too many negatives about the place. it is a quiet town with a good school system. however, you go to adjacent warner robins for shopping. as for "culture", "intellectual stuff" etc, you might want to consider Boston or someplace in the Mid Atlantic or New England. GA is not especially known for those except in very limited terms. Perry is a nice family community, but it has its "redneck" environment and slow southern life. a place i would like personally.

however, in this economy, job is priority: first, middle and last.

if you are young, probably not the place for you. if you are single, definitely not the place.

my 2 cents.
