Thanks Bob for the information.It is VERY helpful.We looked at the Martha Stewart homes near Raleigh,N.C. and was very impressed and thought they were the same everywhere.Obviously,that's not true.

You are wrong about Pulte Homes. I Am freinds with a plumbing contractor that does a large quantity of their work. His company, the fith largest in the nation, employs over 500 workers and sprawls across the south east. So Pulte is not just using local subs which they know nothing about.
