Default Georgia homeowners insurance

Hi can anyone give me a guesstimate on what homeowners ins costs are. My husband and I are interested in the Valdosta area and was wondering if the awful rates in Fla has crept over the Georgia border.

Default insurance rates

Very, very reasonable. Homeowner rates are great for Valdosta and Lowndes County

Depends on the local city and county taxes. The size of the house, water front? acreage?

Chatham County, good location 1500sqft house on small lot without homestead exemption, about 1300 per year.

In some counties, the property taxes also includes school taxes and school bond retirement for new school buildings.

It's really like comparing apples and oranges.
