Need Help about Car driving Classes in Warner Robins Area Please
Hi Everybody,
I'm new to this Country and Georgia is my first place in US.I have never driven a car before and so wanted to learn Car Driving. But the Georgia Driving School charges 70$ for one hour and I cannot afford that much of money.Georgia State College offers classes but they have slots only in the month of May. Can you please tell me if there are any volunteers or any other Driving Schools which offers car driving classes at a affordable price now.
thank you so much.
Regards,
Ramya.

It's a huge liability for any individual to allow a non-licensed driver to operate their personal vehicle, even in a teaching situation. Lessons are expensive for good reason.
Your best bet is probably to get assistance from your sponsor. Do you have a Learners Permit yet?

Now that, I don't know (I'm in Atlanta). We have people who post from that area occasionally, so maybe they will see this and reply.
If you are unable to afford a certified driving instructor and have no local family members, employer or friends willing to teach you, then I have only two other suggestions:
1. Ask for help though a local church that may have volunteers willing help you at low or no cost.
2. Advertise and barter your skills for lessons.
For example, you could offer to design websites, mow a neighbor's lawn or paint his house, babysit or perform eldercare duties, in return for a few hours of driving lessons.

I suggest that you pay at least driving schools for three lessons. After that, you can ask your classmates, post on craiglist or whatever. The reason is that the car driving schools use has two brakes and people made the most mistakes during first three lessons of learning how to drive.

Very good advice, Jxu.
"CraigsList" has a barter section. Offer skilled services there in exchange for the driving lessons.
You could print simple proposals or make business cards and hand them out to neighbors. Or just talk to them.
Here's a list of churches in Warner Robins. http://www.churchangel.com/WEBGA/warnerrobins.htm
I suppose you could email or phone the staff, but please be sensitive to the fact that churches get many, many, many calls for all kinds of assistance (and I'm guessing that in most cases, the needs of members or locals who actually attend worship services may take priority). You might offer to barter skills to the churches as well -- always better than asking something for nothing.

Thanks for your good faith efforts to become a legally licensed driver on our roads, by the way. We see far too many of the other kind.
