Tell us more. Why do you think you want to live in Georgia?
What kind of work do you do (or want to do here)? How far from the suburbs are you willing to commute daily to work (expressed in minutes or hours rather than miles, please).
What general price range do you consider "reasonable" for housing and Catholic school tuition?

You need to define affordable housing (for example, 250,000 to 300,000), Affordable schools (for example, $2500 a year per year per kid). How far from big city (for example, one hour from city of Atlanta).
Otherwise, people will have difficult to give you advice.

Does your current Catholic school belong to a network of schools that you can use to search? Most cities over 100,000 people have Catholic schools.
Tax rates and laws differ by county. There are over 100 counties in Georgia. Car insurance also varies by the kind of car you own and how old it is.
Electricity also varies, but really is no big deal, it should be the least of your worries. Same with water.
What size city do you want to live in? Would you prefer the coastal plain, the piedmont, or the mountains. Do you have political preferences, needs for shopping, or other specific needs?
Have you read through the hundreds of threads on Georgia that might help you understand more about the area and what your options are? Do that first, please.

The Catholic Schools in Atlanta all cost at least $5,000 per child and that is if you are a parish member, closer to $7,000 if you are not. In Albany and Savannah , parishoners pay $3700 this year -- non parishoners pay about $4500.
I think you are out of luck on your tuitoin range... sorry. The Catholic schools also raise their tution regularly like other private schools.
Have you considered looking for a good public school system (and they do exist) instead of cheap private schools....

thanks for getting back to me.... i've heard that the school system in alpharetta is very good... but housing can be expensive.... and i really don't know much about the other school systems in ga.... i asked about the other expenses because i am a single mom and i need to have an idea of what my expenses are going to be... so let's say i was to move to move to alpharetta.... how much would my property taxes be....and how much would my home owners insurance be and car insurance for a 2005 nissan quest....also it may seem trivial to some but i would really like an idea of what the other expenses would amount to thanks for all your help
