Richmond Hill is nice, homes are more expensive, the schools are supposed to be good, it's fairly close to the downtown area. There are new subdivision being built here. It's closer to the Savannah area (like the Savannah Mall) than Pooler. There is more shopping variety in this area than Pooler.
I don't know too much about Midway, I'll let someone else post about this area.
I live in Pooler, it's anywhere between 20 minutes to a little over an hour to get into the Savannah area (it depends on your destination....it can take up to an hour and a half to get to the beach). It is a little over a hour to get to the beach in S.C. There's not a lot of retail shopping or restaurants in the area, but I am told they are coming. One of the biggest complaints you'll hear is about the expansion in this area. There are a lot of new subdivisions being built. It is expanding out into Effingham county. I have no complaints with Pooler elementary. I have heard the middle school is good but the high school is said to be horrible. I haven't experienced any crime out here yet.
