Default Brunswick,Ga

Hello, Im thinking about moving to Brunswick,Ga. So, Im wondering what is the job market like there? Do they have a nice mall or other shopping areas? Would you recommend Brunswick for a single person looking to date and go out? Is there a night life? Thanks for any info.

I am 22-years-old and DO NOT recommend Brunswick for a single person looking to get out there and have fun and meet people.

First of all, the biggest mall we have here is Wal*Mart. We have a colonial mall that is ok but it mainly attracts high schoolers. Adults tend to only go there to eat or to go to the movies. If you want to get to a decent mall you need to drive to either Savannah or Jacksonville, FL. Either way is going to take you ATLEAST 45 minutes to an hour (and that's one way and if you're lucky to not catch some traffic).

The job market is ok. A lot of people are looking for work but you're likely to find a job just not anywhere desirable. Think McDonald's and Winn Dixie type jobs (and they are only hiring because they can't keep employees).

As far as night life is concerned there isn't really one. You can go bar hopping but other than that there really isn't any way to meet other adults unless you know someone there already.

The only upside to Brunswick is St. Simon's Island and Jekyll Island (each no more than 30 minutes away). If you can afford it, I would recommend living there as opposed to the mainland (Brunswick). It's nicer and the beaches are better. Also, you're more likely to meet someone since this is where all the tourists go.

I hope this helps!
