Default Brunswick, General Information and Thoughts

I know I posted on here about a month and a half ago about moving to Warner Robins for a job opportunity. That job now has me going to Brunswick from Orlando instead of going to Warner Robins. I have visited Brunswick very briefly and thought it was a nice little town.

What are the general thoughts about the city, safety wise, the people their, lifestyles, entertainment, etc. I know it's nothing like Orlando, but with it being a coastal town, I'm hoping there are some more recreational activities to participate in. With the Golden Isles being a pretty popular getaway location, am I right to assume the area is kept up pretty well over all? Thank you in advance for any help!

I find it a very pleasant town, with good and bad areas like any other town. It has a relatively healthy economy, access to some affluent beach communities (Sea, St Simons and Jekyll Islands), a great Victorian district (South End), relatively easy access to Savannah and Jacksonville (1 hr), a gentrifying downtown area, affordable homes, and loads of potential.

That's right, or Beach Club members, golf club members and 'approved' visitors. I have a cousin over there...there's no such thing as an 'unexpected guest' for her, and she always has to bribe the pizza guy because he hates delivering over there so much.
