Default Alpharetta/Roswell-moving-where to live

We are relocating to Atlanta area and are looking at Alpharetta/Roswell area. We are in having a dilemma about the exact area to live. Deciding between John's Creek, Milton, South Forsyth-Alpharetta and Crabapple area. They all seem to have very nice homes and look nice online. Our price range is $325-$425,000. I've heard that some areas (Windward)
you have to pay addt'l for amenities?? Any suggestions - schools, subdivision, pros/cons on areas?? Thanks to all your help!

We will be visiting soon but thought we narrow down some by doing research on areas before hand.

#1 on list are the schools (public) - we have a 5 and 2 year old.

A couple of other things on our list...
-Subdivision with good HOA (any suggestions on subdivision to look at)
-Decent amount of trees
-Established area
-Basement

Thanks!
Michele
