Moving to Georgia Next Year (Roswell, Marietta: low crime, homes, neighborhoods)

Hi,

My husband an I are moving to Georgia next year. We are a young couple mid to late 20s and we're trying to decide on which city to settle down in. We are looking for a neighborhood that is diverse. We are African American. We want good schools, shopping, and recreational activities. Also, low crime rate is very important to us. We are looking for a neighborhood that is liberal, fun, and very progressive. Also, we are looking for neighborhoods with single family homes in the price range of $200,000 - $350,000.

As I said, diversity is huge for us, and we'd like an area that is well kept and has educated residents.

Right now we are looking at Roswell, Alpharetta, Marietta, and others, but any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Duluth, 30097 near sugarloaf country club. Very popular with celebrate and athletics (Michael Vicks).

Lithonia, ga is increasingly popular for high income african american family.

Also, I thought East Cobb was very conservative when I was in college ten years ago. Maybe that's change a lot since then. I am not sure.
