Moving to Milledgeville for a Semester! (Ideal: house, college, to live)

Hey, I am an Irish grad student moving to Milledgeville for Sept 07- Dec 07. I will be researching in GC&SU during this time but will not actually be registered in the college, hence I am not eligible for campus accomodation (which would have been perfect!). I will not have a car so I am looking for accomodation within walking distance of the campus. Ideally, I would really like to live with some other grad or final year students. I put a request on Craigs list and have a contact in Milledgeville helping me out too but to no avail as yet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does any student have a spare room in a reasonably nice, furnished house near campus from Sept to Christmas?! Any advice greatly appreciated! Cheers!

I am a college student at GCSU- but I live at home with my parents on Lake Sinclair so I have no room but I just wanted to let you know that there are lots and lots of apartmens within walking distance from the college for not too much $$

Hi Vicken, I have read your question and I know, that it is two years old Maybe you will not read my message... But I have almost the same problem and I need to find cheap accomodation... Could you hepl me? Give me some advice? Iam coming in august to december. Iam Czech student. And I would really appreciated some help.
