I am looking at houses in Trenton and Rossville. I do not know the area. Is there areas in these towns I should stay away from? What about the schools in these two areas? I have 2 children one starting high school and one in middle school. Is there other towns close by that might be better places to live? Thank you for your time.

Rossville is your choice. Trenton is rather isolated and parts of Rossville are adjacent to the Chattanooga city limits. If you live in the Chickamauga city limits you will have access to an excellent school system.

I agree with Antiques. Rossville is much closer to Chattanooga so if you are or will be seeking employment that's your place. There are some funky areas there, more so than Trenton but what town doesn't have that? Trenton is a beautiful area but further from Chattanooga (if that matters) and has some isolated areas. I guess it depends on what you like and how much you value conveniences. Chickamauga is a homey little town and would be my choice for schooling but all the areas mentioned have decent schools so no worries there really. I guess it depends on what you are really looking for...

Both are great places - I was hoping to relocate to that area not too long ago. However, I fell in love with Trenton and Rising Fawn! Something about the seclusion and the scenery! Loved it! Of course, I didn't have to worry about commuting or schools so........ Good luck, and jkmewright is a great source of info, BTW!
