All places have negative and positive "stereotypers" and realities....Why would I be embarrassed to be from Georgia? No matter where you're from there's going to be some negative stereotype.

I'm not ashamed to say I'm from Georgia, Where you're from is home and no one can tell you any better, and most people just base it on sports, how stupid

While I recognize that all places have their problems, I am downright proud to be from Georgia. I have visited 48 states, and have the means to move if I so choose. It won't happen.

Hell no I'm not ashamed, I'm so period to be from the great state of Georgia. I miss it everyday, God I can't wait to go back home and get out of the nasty pacific northwest.

No, there are embarrassing moments for our state, but no, I am not that self-conscious. Silly question, but I took a bite.

Nope. I've travelled enough to know that for all the smack this state deserves, there are many much worse than it

HEHE, I'll BET you think your accent is precious, so do the folks in Augusta, with their dialect of Foghornleghornpootytangese that I took three months to understand, something like talking with a mouthful of hot grits and a head full of Jack Daniels...I never thought learning a foreign language could be so hard (I grew up in the U.S., it's meant to be a joke).

To all of you guys responding.. AMEN.. AMEN.. and AMEN

I think the tone has been set before I had a chance to chime in. If you don’t like here, then move. Nobody’s keeping you here. Or is that the deal?

I love Georgia. Am I embarrassed to say I’m from GA? NEVER. Would I.. could I… yeah.. ummm.. no. And I didn’t grow up here.

When the OP said there was too much green here. For real? You can’t handle trees and grass and wide open spaces? I feel sorry for you already. I think that is one of the best qualities of Georgia. Well then go back to your endless skyscrapers. We’ll still be here.. living in peace. Love Y’ALL.

We are thinking of moving back to GA. (we moved up from FL and then made the mistake of moving back to FL last year)

GA has a lot of things going for it.

I am definately embarassed to tell people I'm from Florida now. We make you guys up in GA look downright progressive right now!

BINGO! I'm chuckling a bit at the posters who are assuming s(he) is an adult. It's fairly obvious to me from the grammar mistakes, immaturity, and trollishness that this is an adolescent or maybe even younger.

I'm guessing a male, just because males are more often rude ..... I don't even believe he is living in Georgia. Possibly, but a child who says everything all looks the same has probably been travelling through it on summer vacation, perhaps against his will, slunk down in his seat pouting, and has since come home to Long Island. Probably all his friends are sick of him telling them how boring Georgia is, so he's trolling here.
