Okay. Let me put it another way.
Macon looks, acts and feels smaller. How's that?
Oh, and Macon does have one big-city attribute, it's way more corrupt than Columbus.

How about if I put it this way "You" react, post comments, comprehend and way of thinking is small and corrupt; so I myself and others tend to look over and excuse what you post.........

lansinggirl09 is not telling the truth, well atleast about Macon anyway. It can take a similar time to get from far east macon near the jones county or twiggs county lines to, say, the mall, out on eisenhower pkwy, hartley bridge, zebulon rd, etc
Tell me what are the busiest roads in Columbus????? From my time there, I'm having to imagine Manchester Expressway and Veterans are two of the main roads. They dont really compare to Macon's busier roads. The times I went on Victory, St. Mary's, Cusseta Rd., etc. They didnt either.
I will say this over and over again, If Columbus is so much bigger and better than Macon, why does it offer similar (or in several cases, less) amenities than Macon.
NO ONE has yet to tell me of the much greater variety in entertainment, shopping, dining that Columbus has as opposed to Macon. If it's so much larger, you should be able to do this easily.
Columbus may be more spread out than Macon, but the inner city area of Macon looks and feels alot more urban than the inner city area of Columbus. Columbus feels alot more suburban. If you have spent much time in both cities, you'd have to be blind not to notice that.

If Columbus is so great..........why do you guys keep on trying to compare it to little ol Macon???
When will Columbus actually look and feel like cities of its own population range....this is pretty sad dont you think
Columbus, GA 187,000
Little Rock, Arkansas pop 189,000
Grand Rapids, MI pop 193,000
Knoxville, TN pop 184,000
Des Moine, Iowa pop 197,000
oh ok nobody wants to talk about that lol

lol King_X you make a good point with those pictures but these cities have larger metro area than Columbus. That why when Columbus fans beat their chest about city population I smile and shake my head. Remember the city of Greenville just reach 60,000 in population. Grow your metro, keep you downtown vibrant and big thing will happen.

Columbus is a lot more spread out than Macon. You can be through Macon in 10-15 minutes max. Macon "feels" bigger because it has more interstates and a lot of people passing through. As far as traffic, Macon is worse on the interstates and Columbus traffic is worse on the surface streets. Traffic is nothing to brag about btw. Overall, Columbus has a bigger feel to me.

lol...all of the people defending Columbus still cant speak on the facts. It's sad that a city of around 190,000 has less/smaller malls, less interstate access, and less big name concerts than a city of 90,000+ like Macon.
It's sad that pretty much no other hub cities in America with a population of 180,000-200,000 look as rural, feel as slow paced and offer as few amenities as Columbus. (name 3.....rofl)
Columbus compares more to Macon, than it does to any of the cities I listed above with similar population to it
lol What makes Columbus so great when its not NEARLY as built up as other cities within its population range? (see pictures above)
If it were doing so swell, it would look and be able to offer the same things as those cities above...
so instead of boasting about how much "bigger feeling" (which is arguable in itself) Columbus is than a city with a pop of only 90,000+
please talk about how much Columbus LACKS behind other cities that have a population of similar size. Thanks.

Columbus just has more to offer in my opinion. It has great facililities, amenities, etc. Macon does too, but it doesn't seem to have the same quality places that Columbus or Augusta has. It shouldn't because it is a smaller city than both Columbus and Augusta. Just my opinion.

I agree with Augusta....but..........with Columbus and its boosters.....nah
It's similar to a guy that's always talking about what he has, yet never seems to be able to prove it.
Columbus has a "SIGNIFICANT" amount of more amenities than Macon? Like what? Dont just say it....name what they are.....
lol It's not shopping, It's not dining, It's not entertainment, it's not historic sites or museums.....all of those things are either similar or LESS than what Macon has to offer.
So I just want to know what are all of these amenities Columbus has that just dwarfs Macon?
The fact of the matter remains...NO one can honestly go to Macon, then go to Columbus and say "wow....there's so much more of a variety of places to shop, eat out, and enjoy the nightlife here than it is in Macon"
so just name these amenities that Columbus has IN ABUNDANCE that Macon doesnt.......because I would love to check them out.
