How do you feel that Georgia is the 12th fattest state?
Ranked 12th fattest state in 2008, Georgia is only getting closer to top 10. In 2007, it was ranked 14th. I am not included in this statistic because I am not overweight or anything like that, but how does this make you feel? Are you proud of it? Are you embarrassed? Express your feelings. For some reason, the fattest states are in the South, unlike New York -- ranked 36th, California -- ranked 41, Montana-- ranked 45.

Oh boo hoo. does it really matter how fat your state is if you watch your own personal weight? I have no problem with fat people. I lived in the fattest state for years and didn't think about it at all(Mississippi)

Sorry for the populations of the other 11 states? I workout and am not overweight, so it really doesn't matter to me. It's a personal choice. You want to be a tub of lard, then you have to be prepared to live a shorter life and deal with the consequences.

We? How can you speak for everyone else on this site? Did you guys meet at your house, sitting around a table and all made a decision that you will speak for all of them?

I think he was just restating the question as "are the people of GA...the readers of this forum embarrassed?" His answer was no. Mine is no.
Do you sit around a table at your house being embarrassed for the actions of others? I personally don't. There are people who overeat and are sedentary in all states, and it's not my problem or my worry.

No. Like Neil mentioned, what you posted was basically like an open ended question.
Do you sit around at your house and just think these negative threads up because you think YOU speak for all Georgians?
Or that we should be embarrassed to live here? Or be embarrassed that the 9th largest State is tied for 12th fattest State with Missouri?
Again. No, and no.

I guess we Georgians just love our good ol' fried chicken and catfish. Yummy yum. Pass that plate my way again.

The short answer, no! Of course there is all that sweet tea, biscuits and gravy and everything fried. Although I am a bit overweight myself, I was that way in California, Washington, Oregon, Kentucky, NY. Don't think any of my friends, thick or thin, were embarrassed by that, either.
