Trion, GA area as place to live (Summerville, Dahlonega: houses, eat)

Hey everyone,

It took a year longer thank I planned but I finally made it to Dahlonega this past spring to look at houses. I really liked the area but now want to check a few other regions. You're all so good about sharing your knowledge, so I'm back to pick your collective brains again, if I may:

I decided to troll on realtor.com - started with Ringgold and branched out from there. Found houses Trion which have caught my eye, and I see that Summerville and LaFayette would be the nearest metro areas.

Does anyone have an info to share about Trion? I see there's a prison there, which isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me but I wonder about how often they're in the news.

Anything you can share would be great, but I'd be especially interested in:

- Grocery stores; I eat a largely plant-based diet so I need access to a chain market like Kroger or something comparable where I know I can find the products to match
- Medical services (I'm getting up there and must be realistic)
- Cable / High Speed internet access (I work from home and need max speed)
- Climate
- Local government
