Default Valdosta offer--mold allergy. Advice?

I have an offer of a place to live during a marital separation--Valdosta, Georgia. I love the people offering it and am sure I would like the town. I do, however, have fairly severe allergies to mold. Anyone living there who can tell me what it's like in october through January, weatherwise and in terms of airborne mold? (outdoor not indoor)

As they say in the comedy routines, how bad is it?

How do people cope? Do air cleaners help indoors? I have a HEPA filter.

And how about the alligators?

i have indoor air filters and i'm fine in the house.

as for being outside; allegra helps.

you won't see many alligators unless you go looking for them.

i've only seen one crossing the highway this year.

southgeorgia, is the mold here really any worse than any of the eastern seaboard states?? i really don't know, just asking. i'm sure it would be worse than Nevada or Arizona etc!! i am 61 years old and have only ran up on one small alligator in my life on the road. i have seen a few small ones in ponds and rivers though. like southgeorgia said, you gotta go looking for them. if you should by chance find one, he/she will run from you faster than you will run from him/her!! come on down!!
