Exclamation Where is kristi cornwell?

I was watching nancy grace tonight, and she spoke about kristi cornwell, the mother of two small children that was kidnapped not far from her home in blairsville, while speaking to her boyfriend on her cell?

Any new details?...............i hope she is found alive.................

Women need to be aware of the tremendous violence against them in this country!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe there's a bit that's being held back from/by the media, though. Very early on, they mentioned things such as she was walking at around 1am while talking to her boyfriend on the phone, and they "thought" whoever took her must have known her routine. She also has two ex-husbands, but after the first day or so of the story, they haven't been mentioned (which could mean they are being investigated, as well as her current BF will be considered a candidate as well, etc). So there's a lot of turns this story could take, and there's the chance it may not be a random act.

Exactly what I was telling my wife earlier today. This doesn't seem like a random act by some crazed sex offender or serial killer. This seems more like something done by someone who knows her, such as a husband, boyfriend, or family member.

Correction- make that three ex-husbands, and according to the news last night, they're not considered suspects. Gotta wonder how a 39 y/o woman has three ex-husbands already- sounds like she's trying to beat Liz Taylor's record.....lol

Perfect crime - give your friend your cell phone - have them drive 100 miles away and then have them call Kristi just to "chat".....then follow kristi and kill her and tell the police you were on the phone with her...perfect crime....no one knows but Kristi and the person on the phone with her......I say it was the boyfriend.

First of all, she was NOT out a 1AM. She was out at 9PM. (still not a wise choice but the crime took place in Blairsville, which is a small town in extreme northeast GA.) One of the neighbors was interviewed by the media and said that she didn't lock her house and didn't even know where the house key is.

Second, who are we to judge this woman just because she has 3 ex-husbands? Believe me, people can change after you think you know them. The police said her ex's were all cleared as suspects.

Her current boyfriend was in Atlanta at the time of the crime. He has also been cleared.

While she was on the phone with him, she told him a car seemed to be following her. Then he heard her say "Don't take me!" and that was it. The phone was found nearby in the grass. Police said it was tossed out the window of a car.

Rubie, I agree about women not being safe anymore. There are psychos roaming everywhere. The case of Meredith Emerson still haunts me and was a real wake up call. That serial killer was roaming all over FL, GA, and NC killing victims, including an elderly couple. He even stopped at an ATM machine down the road from my house while he had Meredith captive in the back of the van. So sad and scary.

I won't even go walking by myself in my neighborhood anymore because one time when I was out with my infant son in his stroller, a truck drove by us, turned around, and then came back by us. I felt scared when I saw him coming back because I realized how vulnerable I was. I couldn't run b/c of the stroller. There would have been nothing I could do if he decided to jump out.

There was also a case about a year ago in my area where a youth minister gave a ride to a couple and they in turn stabbed him and ran over him with his own car. He died trying to crawl away.
There is NO safe place anymore and there is NO way to tell who is "good" and who is "bad".

The police are now saying they think Kristi has been taken out of the area, and that her abductor could be someone local to the area. As much as folks up there are having trouble accepting it, this could have been a random crime. Creeps who have bad intentions often act on the spur of the moment when they see an opportunity. These people can be anywhere, anytime. The man who killed Meredith Emerson also killed a woman whose car had broken down on the side of the road. He happened to be there and saw an opportunity.

This case haunts me because if it was a random thing, then we live in a terrible, terrible world. I wish we could round up the evil people among us and get rid of them all.

Ok, so what is his motive? By the way, the police said he has been ruled out as a suspect. I know people have a hard time believing this could be a random crime, but that's what I think it is. There are creeps everywhere, as terrible as that is to understand.

Poor taste, Bob. This is not the time to crack jokes about a woman who has probably met a terrible end.

I thought of that also. I also wonder if she staged the whole thing.

I'm sorry folks, but these comments just make me want to puke. Why would a mother of a 15 year old stage her own kidnapping? I'm starting to think there is very little intelligent life in the state of Georgia. I mean come ON! WHY would someone like this woman stage her own kidnapping? Give me motives to back up your wild theories.

The post that you quoted speculated that the boyfriend did it, not that Kristi was a willing participant.

It's amazing the lengths some of us go through to try to persuade ourselves that the world is still a safe place and that only bad people are victimized.

How would you feel if this case was about your mother or your daughter? I doubt you would be saying "she staged the whole thing!"
