What's the deal with all the sex offenders
Anyone know why there seems to be such a large number of sex offenders in the State of Georgia? The only place that seems to have almost none is Peachtree City.

The reason there aren't any in Peachtree City is because PT City has one of the strictest ordinances in the US regulating where they can live. The ordinance says something like they can't live within 2000 feet of any gathering place of children which includes schools, parks and school bus stops. This basically means sex offenders can't live anywhere in the city. The problem with a law like this is it often causes sex offenders to go underground and not register. It's possible that the number of sex offenders is higher in PT City because of this but more then likely most just moved to out side the city limits. I don't know anything about Acworth though.

If there are none in the area then there is a problem with the reporting, not because there aren't any there. It is amazing (and really scary) how many sex offenders there are world. I've never found any community which actually does not have any sex offenders. Of course in some places a sex offender can mean as little as somebody who was convicted of public urination so you have check what their particular offense was.

I see that one has parked his rotten butt somewhere near my neighborhood recently. I have two houses in Snellville and was pretty lucky there wasn't anything near either of them til now.
