Default Relocating to Duluth

Hello,

I am a single mom of 1 son 9 1/2 years old and I will be relocating to Duluth in about 30days. I currently live in Orlando, Fl. I am in the process of looking for a job in Duluth, but I would like help in some of the follwing areas. I would like to know the elementary schools near Boggs Rd, Duluth Ga 30096. I would like to be given information of the possible employers in the area. I am registered on Monster and Career Builders, and Spherion. I have a place to stay (with a friend) but that is only until I can find a job and get a few dollars in the bank. If anyone can give me the numbers that I need to contact the school board and some of the other important numbers that are needed for a new comer to the area I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Sheena

I hope your friend is OK with you being there for a long time- it's likely to take you 6+ months to find a job unless you've got some unique skillset that's highly in demand.

I agree. Many people are struggling with maintaining their jobs much less finding one. You should have a job secured before moving here. I know that's easier said than done but it will save you alot of stress. It MAY takes 6 m -2 years to find something worthwhile depending on your career field. I have a stable job but am struggling myself as a result of budget cuts and hiring freezes. I will say that Duluth is a great place to live..quiet practical, and family oriented. You are very near one of the main highways, I85, that takes you into the heart of the city, 2 malls are within 2 miles of boggs rd, major shops (walmart, costco, sams club, home depot, target, kohls, etc...) restaurants, schools, and alot of car dealerships.
I live down the street from boggs rd and satellite blvd for little over a year and like it alot. I work in the school system in alpharetta (within 30-40 min drive) but dont know how the schools are nearby but here's a link:

Good luck to you.
