Vogel State Park - Cottage Rental (homes, cabins, reservation)

Would like to rent a cabin next month. Any recommendations on which ones are good??

Considering I am the second generation of my family to love this park ( and I raising the 3rd ) we have this down to an art form.

First off - getting an October reservation in -- any -- of the cabins is going to be tough at this late of a date , especially if you are looking to book on a weekend. You stand a greater chance of getting something mid week if you can go then.

With that being said ,my list goes as follows -

1) #35 an older ccc log cabin - right on the lake. - Nearly impossible to get unless looking to book nearly a year in advance.
2) #32 - another older ccc log cabin across from boat rental - a bit easier to book.
3) # 33 - also a ccc log cabin - doesn't quite have the lake view that the 1st two have.
4) #14 - not a log cabin but right on Wolf Creek and across from playground
5) #13- also on Wolf Creek

Our next set of choices are # 7 -9 - which are not log homes nor are they on the creek. But honestly the whole park is so beautiful -we don't care we're just glad to be there.
