There's really only a small window of time to see magnificent fall color in N. Georgia, and during that time all the Atlanta leaf peepers are there. Instead of going at a different time, go to a different place. Head farther north into North Carolina and Virginia.

I was looking at land in North Georgia,I just wanted not too be their this year when the leaf peepers come.I hope next year I can be setting on a porch some where in the North Georgia Mountains and watching the leafs change color myself. And get away from sick looking cabbage palm trees here in over crowed Florida.

When is that little window of time when the "Leaf Peepers" come too the mountains?

I would say Early to late October. Early November would actually be a good time for you since the leaves are still pretty and it's less crowded.
